OPC Security Tester

OPC Security Tester - evaluation of basic OPC servers implementation security.

The OPC (OLE for Process Control) specification defines how an OPC server should behave, without discussing implementation details. Neutralbit conducted a vulnerability analysis on various OPC control systems, most of which have been described in the research paper "OPC Server security considerations" that was presented at the SCADA Security Scientific Symposium in Miami, Florida.

OPC Security Tester is an easy to use application that can detect various common vulnerabilities found in OPC server implementations. It is part of the testing methodology used during the "OPC Group Test 2006" that successfully identified 25 previously unknown vulnerabilities in as many commercial OPC servers.
